The University of Alaska Southeast will host the second annual Power & Privilege Symposium on Nov. 7. The conference-style event provides community members with an opportunity to engage in honest conversations about the ways social hierarchies and identities manifest themselves.
The general public is invited to attend the free event. For those who want to participate online, select portions of the event will be streamed live by UAS.
A combination of keynote speeches and breakout sessions will encourage challenging but important dialogue, covering topics like race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender, mental illness and more. To learn more, visit UAS online.
