Summer safety tips

With Fourth of July upon us, the Alaska Nurses Association offers important health and safety advice that applies all summer long:

Choose sunblock wisely: Certain sunblocks contain chemicals that can not only be harmful to your body but also to the environment. With so many options out there, the Environmental Working Group has created a quick guide to help.

Water safety: This infographic highlights drowning dangers for children. Make sure children are wearing fitted life jackets and have adult supervision when they’re out on the water. This activity book teaches kids how to be safe and have fun around water.
