Making the change to daylight saving time

Daylight saving time is often referred to as “daylight savings time” with an extra “s” at the end of “saving.” But you can’t savings time. Daylight saving time begins on the second Sunday of March at 2 a.m. and then transitions back to daylight standard time on the first Sunday of November.

Hawaii and parts of Arizona are the only states that do not adhere to daylight saving time. The Alaska Legislature has gone back and forth on whether to end daylight saving time, but a bill has never reached the governor. Find more DST facts at timeanddate.com.
