Will Troshynski and [his] journey to the Iditarod

by The 100 Companies

“From the moment my parents told me we were moving to Alaska, I declared I would become a dog musher,” said musher Will Troshynski, a proud transgender man who manifested his purpose at the young age of seven.

He followed his first Iditarod rooting for Jeff King who lost to Martin Buser. A few years later, Buser ironically became his mushing mentor who helped train him for the Jr. Iditarod. Twenty years later, Troshynski has not only built ATAO Kennel, but this year, he also finished his first Iditarod.
