Celebrate under the midnight sun in Fairbanks, Alaska

by
sunset

Chase the sunshine to Fairbanks this summer for not-to-be-missed solstice festivals.

The Midnight Sun Festival is Alaska’s largest single-day event, attracting visitors and locals alike to bask under the 24-hour sunshine. The no-cost street fair takes place Sunday, June 23, featuring hundreds of exhibits, Alaska merchandise, over 30 live music performances and more.

The Midnight Sun Game has been played every summer solstice for over a decade. The baseball game plays through the midnight hour (never using artificial light), in celebration of the passing of another year and the survival of another long winter.
