Ketchikan brewery set to open late spring

by

For the first time in a decade, Ketchikan will have its own brewery. Bawden Street Brewing Company will open early May, just in time for peak cruise season, with a variety of offerings including high-gravity beers like the Prince of Whales porter and Black Tide Imperial Stout to mid-range brews such as the Misery Whip saison and Bière de Garde.

Each beer pays homage to the Last Frontier and Alaska’s First City. Beer will be available to sample in the tasting room, located at 325 Bawden St., Ketchikan. Visitors can purchase beer to go by the growler.
