The longest and most challenging snowmobile race on the planet is returning to Alaska. Iron Dog festivities begin Friday, Feb. 16, with the start of the Trail Class race in Big Lake.

Throughout the weekend the fun continues in downtown Anchorage with the Flying Iron Show. This family-friendly freestyle show will be held on 3rd Avenue between E and C streets on Friday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m., and again on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, race fans can head back out to Big Lake to catch the restart of the Pro Class race.
