Alaska’s biggest city now offers three new restaurants where locals and visitors can dine.
Anchorage’s first Ethiopian restaurant recently opened in June. Queen of Sheba, located in Midtown, serves stews and vegetable dishes on sourdough. Dawit Ogbamichael opened the business after realizing the demand for Ethiopian meals in Anchorage. The restaurant is open daily from 1-7 p.m.
A hot, new Mexican/American spot that opened at the end of June, El Green-Go’s purchases products from Alaska farmers to support local agriculture. Lastly, Chicken Shack is a locally owned, family-friendly option opening soon on Northern Lights Boulevard.
