Run away with these footraces in Southeast Alaska

Looking to run away for some adventure this summer? Look no further than these footraces in Southeast Alaska.

• The Juneau Marathon and Half Marathon takes place Saturday, July 27. The race is also a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Along the way, runners are treated to views of mountains, glaciers, forests and the ocean.

• Alaska Bearfest celebrates the mighty bears of Wrangell with a marathon, half marathon and 5K. It is coming up on Sunday, July 28.

• Join Ketchikan’s Blueberry Arts Festival, which includes the Blueberry Fun Run 5K and one-mile race on Saturday, Aug. 3.
