This Seward event is ‘mermaid’ for you

What better way to celebrate Seward Harbor’s opening weekend than a festival that lets you express your inner mermaid (or merman)?

Head to Seward May 18-20 for the Seward Mermaid Festival, a three-day, family-friendly event that features local entertainment, vendors and even a boat parade from the Seward Harbor entrance to the Alaska SeaLife Center.

Other events include a Seward business and merchant crawl, a not-to-be-missed pirate and mermaid pub crawl as well as the 36th annual Exit Glacier Race, a 5K or 10K fun run for the entire family. Themed costumes are encouraged.
