The 907: T&C’s favorite things about the Iditarod

When it comes to listing our favorite things about the Iditarod, writing “sled dog pups” 100 times seemed like the best option. There is so much else to love, though. Here are three other favorites:

• We love spending the first Saturday in March watching for wagging tongues and tails from along the 11-mile ceremonial route.

• We follow the dogs on social media. Check out Blair Braverman on Twitter or Wade Marrs’ pups-in-training if you love NBC’s “This Is Us.”

• Plus, we can’t help but practice the mushing commands with our own dogs. Come gee! Come haw! Hike!
