Bask in 24 hours of daylight on June 21 at the Midnight Sun Festival street fair. The event showcases hundreds of Alaskan exhibitors and 30+ music performances … not to mention food, break dancing, a climbing wall, pony rides and gold panning.
Opening pitch is at 10 p.m. for the Alaska Goldpanners 120th Midnight Sun Game on June 20. The game harkens back to 1906, the result of a bar bet, and is still played today without artificial light.
Cap off the celebration with the Midnight Sun Run 10k on June 21 as 3,500+ participants run through neighborhoods and house parties.
