Anchorage Remembers is a solemn Memorial Day ceremony on May 27 “to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.” Partake in a spiritual gathering, hear esteemed speakers, listen to patriotic music and lay wreaths to honor fallen heroes.
The Anchorage Corvette Association’s Memorial Day Car Show continues the spirit with an Honor Guard ceremony and booth for the Armed Services YMCA for food donations. The “entry fee” consists of two cans of nonperishable food or other nonperishables, like diapers.
The Honor Flight will be there, as well as food trucks and kids’ activities to enjoy.
