When did we become a society that constantly feels the need to apologize? Especially women, and for things that don’t even require an apology.

Yes, I too am guilty of it. Many times in an email to someone because I feel bad that I’m not responding fast enough. Lately though, I find myself trying to monitor the over-apologizing while also asking my team to slow down before responding.

Here are some helpful ways to shift the narrative:

– “Appreciate you bringing that to my attention.”
– “Thanks for catching that.”
– “Thank you for pointing that out.”
