With closures extended through the end of the school year and a record number of Alaskans applying for unemployment, many of our neighbors are worried about where their families will get their next meal.

Children’s Lunchbox, a program by Bean’s Cafe, recently launched a $500,000 fundraising initiative to provide prepared meals for children and pantry packs for families. Each shelf-stable pack feeds a family of four.

A donation of just $10 for a box will help Children’s Lunchbox distribute 50,000 packs to Anchorage families this summer. A dozen corporations have already donated over $140,000. See how to support the project.
