The Sitka Jazz Festival brings some of the top artists from around the country to southeast Alaska for three days of music learning and enjoyment.
Guest performers at this year’s festival, from Feb. 1-3, include UCLA’s world-renowned Thelonius Monk Institute ensemble, singer Michael Mayo and saxophone player Brian Hogans, among others. Also featuring student performances, the festival offers kids from across Alaska instruction in jazz theory, history and improvisation.
All festival passes are available for $60. Single tickets are available for Friday and Saturday, with discounts for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the festival’s website.
