Spend your PFD on crafts marked with the Silver Hand

Now that PFD season is upon us, head to a gallery near you and invest in beautifully crafted Silver Hand artwork. Seen on everything from small carvings to large paintings, the Silver Hand seal indicates a piece was created by hand in Alaska by an Alaska Native artist.

No reproductions or manufactured works may be marketed with the Silver Hand seal. In fact, using it on something you know is not authentic Alaska Native art is a class B misdemeanor. The program helps Alaska Native artists promote their work in the marketplace and helps consumers identify authentic Alaska Native pieces.
