Did you know Alaska celebrates National Philanthropy Day? The Alaska Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals coordinated its annual Alaska Philanthropy Day on Friday, Nov. 16, with a day of professional development sessions geared toward Alaska nonprofits looking to grow their philanthropic skill set.
Attendees at this year’s conference heard from Lynne Wester of Donor Relations Guru, among other speakers. The event also featured an awards luncheon honoring outstanding philanthropic efforts in Alaska.
The Alaska Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is Alaska’s only fundraiser-specific professional organization and offers Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification training.
