GCI employees step up, give back during holiday season

by

As Alaskans focus on tasty turkey dinners, Santa Claus and Black Friday deals, it’s important to take a step back and consider those less fortunate. GCI is stepping up to make the holiday season brighter for those who may need some extra help.

Each year, GCI donates more than $2 million in funds, products and in-kind services to Alaska’s nonprofit organizations. Additionally, GCI employees each receive two paid days of community service leave annually to use volunteering for organizations and causes that spark their passion, including: Covenant House Alaska, Food Bank of Alaska, the Salvation Army and many more.
