Dine at Polar Dip, donate to Alaska Zoo’s polar bears

Polar Dip

Polar Dip is celebrating International Polar Bear Day by adding a new menu item and starting a fundraiser for the Alaska Zoo.

Named in honor of the Alaska Zoo’s female polar bear, the Cranbeary Special is a tasty turkey and cheddar melt with cranberry chutney. On Polar Dip’s menu through the end of March, the sandwich costs $12, or $15 with a cup of soup. Polar Dip will donate 50 percent of proceeds from the sandwich to the zoo.

Located at 12100 Old Seward Road, Polar Dip is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
