The time for pow is now! This week marks the official start of ski season statewide. These seven Alaska resorts offer world-class skiing, and we’re giving you the rundown of when they open:
• In Anchorage, Arctic Valley Ski Area opened this past weekend on Nov. 27. Hilltop Ski Area will be open as of Wednesday, Dec. 1.
• In Fairbanks, Moose Mountain opened on Nov. 26. Ski Land will open on Friday, Dec. 3.
• In Juneau, Eaglecrest Ski Area will open on Dec. 4.
• In Girdwood, Alyeska Resort‘s ski lifts will open on Dec. 10.
• In Cordova, Mt. Eyak Ski Area is slowly increasing operations throughout December.
