What does it truly mean to connect? GCI’s answer to that question is a 3,300-mile broadband network through the most remote areas of rural Alaska.

GCI’s high-speed, rural internet network called TERRA, or Terrestrial for Every Rural Region in Alaska, is one of the largest in the country, and took the shape of a ring via 84 interconnected communities.

By the end of 2017, the TERRA network will provide more than 45,000 rural Alaskans with access to critical bandwidth, wireless services, data streaming and more. This access is providing better education, health care and economic diversity.
