Year-round ANSEP component now offered in Anchorage and Mat-Su

by
high school students

The Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program strives to make high-quality, engaging STEM education accessible to more students around the state. Pre-college components, such as Middle School Academy and Acceleration Academy, have generally been held during summer months.

However, students in the Anchorage and Matanuska-Susitna Borough school districts have an opportunity to participate in ANSEP year-round now. Acceleration Academy (UAA) will kick off its inaugural year this fall. Acceleration Academy (Mat-Su), which saw its enrollment double in year two, is already entering its third year. Applications are still being accepted for the 2018-2019 school year.
