Try Alaska pies for blueberry pie day

Blueberry Pie Day is April 28, and Alaska has many places to get tasty slices:

• Pie in the Sky (Juneau) – Using organic ingredients, baker Andrea Mogil makes pies from scratch. She has a blueberry almond and malbec pie in the winter and a classic blueberry pie in the summer.

• Nugget Restaurant (Sitka) – Located at the airport, pilots and passengers alike have been known to grab a pie during layovers to finish the flight with a sweet treat.

• Talkeetna Roadhouse (Talkeetna) – Established in 1917, this classic roadhouse in “Beautiful Downtown Talkeetna” is famous for massive pies baked by proprietor Trisha Costello.
