“It’s freezing.” “There’s limited sunlight.” “Go somewhere fun and warm.” All comments I received after telling friends and family that I wanted to spend my 27th birthday in Alaska.
Upon arriving in Anchorage, it was so much different. What was actually in store was warm hospitality, incredible meals and the perfect setting for the best birthday ever. A free lift ticket, breathtaking views and skiing above the clouds all made for an incredible experience at Alyeska Resort. Why travel south for your winter vacation when you have Alaska? And yes, it was cold, but Alaska, you were so worth it.
