Denali National Park and Preserve officially turned 100 years old on Feb. 26, 2017, and the park has plans for the centennial celebration to continue all year long.
On June 10, festivities began with SummerFest, taking place at Denali Visitor Center. Guests enjoyed musical performances and a variety of family friendly activities. Another way to participate in the centennial is to join the National Park Service’s “Human Hundred,” which challenges participants to log 100 miles in Denali National Park.
The park is also encouraging visitors to share the love by posting their experiences on social media with the hashtag #DenaliNPS.
