Backcountry Alaska cooking pairs perfectly with the ultimate luxury travel experience at The Cooking School at Tutka Bay.
Open from May to September, the cooking school is part of the family-run Within the Wild Alaskan Adventure Lodges. Sitting across from the lodges’ property, the school is housed in a World War II-era re-purposed crabbing vessel.
After a 25-minute water taxi ride across Kachemak Bay from Homer, Alaska, guests arrive at the cooking school, where they learn how to prepare authentic Alaska cuisine. This includes a three-course menu using local and organic produce, seafood and game.
