Sitka man invents machine to help rampers move luggage

Alaskans never cease to impress. Local Sitka man Tim Fulton has moved into production for his invention, named the TISABAS, or Tim Saves Backs.

The machine is a conveyor belt that sits in the belly of the plane and helps move luggage or cargo automatically instead of forcing rampers to crawl around on their hands and knees to manually load or unload bags.

Currently, there are three prototypes circulating in international markets, including Brazil and Sweden. Fulton says that he expects to find success overseas before the U.S. adopts TISABAS.
