A familiar name in Alaska tourism is returning to the industry, this time with a new title. The Alaska Travel Industry Association recently named Jillian Simpson as its president and CEO. Simpson previously worked at ATIA between 2004-2021, holding titles such as director of travel trade and vice president.
In the announcement of her new position, Simpson said she is thrilled to be back working in the industry, as tourism plays an “integral part” in Alaska’s economy.
In her new role, Simpson is tasked with leading an organization that represents 600 small and large tourism businesses across the entire state.
