The spring of 2017 brought blossoming wildflowers, Turnagin Arm break up and a new kind of restaurant to Indian, Alaska. Froth and Forage Coffeehouse and Eatery opened its doors (and drive-up window) on May 1, offering diners a local, farm-to-table menu created by Chef Zachary Reid. Make a reservation or call in an order for pick up at the window, but do it early. With a rotating menu featuring breakfasts like the donut sandwich and dinners like reindeer caribou tacos, this little restaurant fills up fast. Extra bonus: sit on the deck to dine with a view.
