Many Alaskans will spend the coming days getting ready for a Thanksgiving feast, but some need a little extra help putting food on the table this holiday season. Here are a few ways to help:
• Volunteer at a Food Bank of Alaska mobile food pantry, located at the food bank, Lutheran Social Services and Jewel Lake Church, between now and Dec. 29.
• Donate at Food Bank of Alaska, Allen & Petersen Cooking & Appliance Centers or Midas. See what items are needed most.
• Hunters can donate moose, caribou, deer, sheep, salmon and halibut with transportation at no charge from Northern Air Cargo.
