The 907: Giving Back During the Holidays

The holidays are a time to be thankful and give back. Here are a few ways to help in Alaska:

• Donate to your favorite organization. Everyone has something they’re passionate about. As an Alaskan, Pick. Click. Give. makes it easy to research and financially support more than 600 charities.
• Give your time. Volunteer somewhere like Bean’s Cafe and the Children’s Lunchbox Anchorage, where you can prep and serve meals to the homeless and others in need.
• Meet the direst needs. What do nonprofits need the most? Just ask! Community organizations like Covenant House Alaska are always seeking in-kind donations.
