As 2025 dawns, I’ve added a daily reminder to my calendar: Be relational and connect.
Too often, I want to sound knowledgeable; to shift this paradigm, I’m endeavoring to speak (and write) not to impress but to communicate – which actually starts with listening.
When I repeat the last series of words spoken to me, before I respond, it not only ensures that the other person feels heard but also helps to align, redirect and make sure we are all on the same page – which is a simple, albeit powerful, way forward.
