The Sitka Sound Science Center (SSSC), a nonprofit science center and aquarium in the southeast community of Sitka, is seeking seasonal summer interpreters to lead aquarium and hatchery tours, greet guests, sell admissions and answer questions from visitors. This public-facing position runs from May – September.
SSSC is also holding 2-3 one-month scientist in residency fellowships (SIRF) for scientists in the polar and sub-Arctic fields. These short sabbaticals allow for data analysis, drafting research results and public engagement. Scientists can also explore how their research can tie into other scientific work. Applications are due by Feb. 15.
