The Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program recently celebrated the first graduates of its full-time Acceleration Academy (Anchorage). Seven students graduated this year with an average of 40 hours, equivalent to 1.5 years of college credit, toward a bachelor’s degree at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The full-time Acceleration Academy gives students the opportunity to take college courses, receive academic support and engage in hands-on learning opportunities while preparing to attend college. Available in Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, the component is open to students of all career interests who want to pursue a college education.
