The National Veterans Golden Age Games is a senior adaptive rehabilitation program. It is the only national multi-event competition involving sports and recreational activities for seniors.
Held in Anchorage from June 5-10, the games are designed to improve quality of life for veterans regardless of their ability levels or disabilities. Events include cycling, basketball, track and field, swimming and more.
There are numerous videos and stories from past games that showcase veteran athletes.
The Veterans Golden Age Games are open to all veterans, ages 55 and older, who receive assistance from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
