Hey, Alaskans! There is still time to explore your backyard this summer.
Salmon Berry Travel & Tours offers a round-trip guided tour from Anchorage to Independence Mine State Historical Park — a day full of exploring the mine and visiting the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer.
Salmon Berry Tours is also offering 45-minute walking tours of the mine for those that plan to explore Hatcher Pass on their own. This tour walks through three historic buildings and around the property, showing what life was like in one of Alaska’s oldest mining sites.
