It’s time to bring back the light – join the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services for a moment of celebration, community, solidarity and reflection.
Bring Back the Light celebrates the return of the sun, shows gratitude for fellow Alaskans and helps us remember those who lost their lives or suffered losses due to COVID-19.
Sunday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m., Alaskans are encouraged to light a candle, turn on lights, flashlights, headlamps or a lantern and shine a light. Step out on your front porch or take a walk with friends and help light up Alaska.
