The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida, have come to an end, and the Alaska team is bringing home some serious hardware. Winning a total of 43 medals, the Alaska team shook the competition up.
Alaska athletes dominated in all events, bringing home the gold in a plethora of track, swimming and powerlifting competitions. The bowling team had arguably the best performance, as they brought home several medals – sweeping the competition for the Alaska win!
Congratulations to the athletes who competed in this year’s summer games and to the Special Olympics Alaska team for proudly representing the state.
