With the support of GCI, Special Olympics Alaska is pushing out its annual Polar Plunge challenge to Alaskans across the state.
Traditionally, the Polar Plunge is held in Anchorage at Goose Lake. But this year, the challenge will be opened up to anyone in Alaska and beyond who wants to support Special Olympics Alaska athletes by raising money.
Here’s how it works: single participants or a group of employees register to take the plunge, raise funds for SOAK and then do an at-home challenge like dumping a bucket of water over their head or jumping into a freezing-cold kiddie pool.
