Thumbs up:

Pizza boxes: Those greasy receptacles can now be recycled in Anchorage. Eating pizza is basically good for the environment.

ANWR: The 40-year Alaska oil dream clears another major hurdle. Long way to go, but still progress.

Denali visitors: More services are planned for winter and shoulder seasons. Best time to see the mountain, anyway.

Thumbs down:

Injured eagles: Juneau sees a surge in injured birds. Heal well, noble birds.

Economic numbers: 20 years of job growth could potentially be wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jury trials: COVID claims another victim − jury trials are on hold until November.
