The Downtown Soup Kitchen Hope Center on Third Avenue in Anchorage provides between 450 and 600 cups of soup each day. For many, the Hope Center is a safe haven to eat, rest, visit with friends and listen to music. There are many ways to lend a hand at the Soup Kitchen, and help is especially needed during the holiday season.
Prepping and serving lunch with your family (children are welcome), friends, coworkers or on your own is a deeply rewarding and even spiritual experience. Unable to volunteer your time? Make a difference by making much-needed food and financial donations.
