Help the nearly 1 in 10 Alaskans struggling with food insecurity

by The 100 Companies

Did you know that 53% of Alaskans seeking food assistance must decide between buying groceries or paying rent? Lend a helping hand on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 28) with a donation to the Food Bank of Alaska.

Drop off non-perishables at the charity’s headquarters as well as at Allen & Petersen Cooking & Appliance Centers and Midas stores, plus one locale in Wasilla. Gifts of meat from hunters are welcome (just fill out the proper form) and Northern Air Cargo will transport it from rural locations without charge.

Food manufacturers, wholesalers and grocers are needed too – their donations comprise 65% of the food distributed.
