Velocity AK to host clean energy seminar

On this St. Patrick’s Day, Velocity AK is starting the conversation about opportunities, barriers and the role Alaska can play in clean energy.

The fittingly named “It’s Not Easy Being Green” event will host a handful of local guest speakers, along with social media influencer and climate communicator Alaina Wood, known on TikTok as the Garbage Queen.

Dubbed a “pub-i-nar,” the event will be held at Williwaw (Anchorage) from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, March 17. Admission is free, so bring a friend, sport green clothing, have a drink (on us) and learn about opportunities and barriers around Alaska’s clean energy future.
