Alaska Grown: There’s an app for that

Thanks to the new Alaska Grown app, neither visitors nor locals have to second-guess where to get locally sourced meals and produce. The innovative app includes restaurants that source certified “Alaska Grown” ingredients and other details like menus, hours of operation and photos.

Alaska Grown was funded by a USDA grant, and its mission is to bring awareness to local restaurants, provide a reliable market for local farmers and make local products accessible for everyone.

The app can be downloaded via Google Play or the Apple store at no cost. Search “AlaskaGrown” (one word) and start eating local today.
