U.S. Navy celebrates its 243rd birthday

U.S. Navy

This year commemorates the 243rd birthday of the U.S. Navy, which was established on Oct. 13, 1775. The U.S. Navy has played a critical role in Alaska’s history and is now the largest naval force in the world.

In addition to honoring military tradition, the Navy’s birthday is a time to honor veterans. To support veterans, Google introduced a job tool to help ease the transition into the civilian workforce. By searching “jobs for veterans” on Google and adding a Navy MOS code in the job search box, veterans can find jobs that match their skills and experience.
