Alaska is known for vast landscapes, backcountry beauty and wildlife. All of that can now be found on East Fifth Avenue in the heart of downtown Anchorage, where a “Greetings from Alaska” mural was recently finished on the Alaska Travel Industry Association building. Each letter is a different scene from the state.
“We would love to continue to do more local ones, greetings from other cities,” says artist Victor Ving, who created the mural.
Ving says murals normally take a week to finish, but because of Alaska’s midnight sun, this one took four days. Learn more about the artists here.
