Helping older Alaskans

by The 100 Companies

Seniors are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19 and Salvation Army Alaska is aiming to help through its Older Alaskans Program. It is especially important for the elderly to stay at home now, which is why getting meals delivered directly to their doors is so critical.

The Salvation Army has partnered with Meals on Wheels America for this program to ensure the safety and nutrition of those who may be currently struggling.

Local grocery stores are also making shopping more accessible for the elderly. Some services include offering pick-up service and specific senior hours making shopping available only for them.
