Alaska’s 2022 elections will look different than ever before, featuring two types of ballots and three different election dates. Here’s a quick breakdown to help navigate how to effectively cast your vote:
• June 11 – The deadline to get your “pick one primary” ballot postmarked for the special U.S. Congress seat (by-mail only, special election). Just choose one candidate.
• Aug. 16 – Voters will receive two ballots: 1. A ranked-choice ballot for Alaska’s special U.S. Congress seat (special election). 2. A “pick one primary” ballot (general election).
• Nov. 8 – One ranked-choice ballot (general election).
