In Anchorage, local nonprofits are always looking for like-new donated items. From housewares and clothing to unopened hygiene products, consider the below organizations and their urgent needs next time you decide to clean out your closet or reorganize:

• Covenant House Alaska: Warm clothes like hats and sweats.

• AWAIC: New, unopened shampoo and conditioner.

• BBBSAK: Clothes, housewares, toys, etc. You can even schedule a pick up.

• FashionPact: Have a bag of clothes rolling around in your car? Consider a drop off at FashionPact. Forty percent of sales go back to local nonprofits.
